Drop in for as little or long as you like!

Holy Brook Nook is a community space for people and wildlife in the heart of Coley. Nature Nurture , The Conservation Volunteers and Food4Families have been busy on site, creating a willow archway, pathways, seating areas, a community garden as well as delivering community events.

Sessions are suitable for children aged 3 to 12 and their grown-ups.

Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer at all times.

Hot chocolate and a snack provided.

These sessions are free, thanks to Reading Borough Council's Community Infrastructure Levy.

This extended session is made possible thanks to Sir Robert McAlpine ActionFunder for a Strong Foundations Grant

Please note there is no parking at this venue but just a few 2hr spots nearby.

You can walk to the site from the surrounding area or town centre - It's just 6 mins from Reading Police Station - just head to Brook Street West, RG1 6BB, or look for Holy Brook Nook on Google Maps.

Feedback from a previous participant:
"Just wanted to let you know how much I, my daughter, her partner and my two grand daughters enjoyed your Eggstravaganza on Saturday at Holy Brook Nook. The activities had something for everyone and were interesting and fun with engaging facilitators." Parent

Nature Nurture CIC is an award winning company on a mission to connect urban communities with the nature on their doorstep. We work with the conservation, heritage, health and education  sectors to achieve multiple outcomes including improved health & wellbeing and increased environmental awareness and action.

In 2016 we achieved a Pride of Reading Award. In 2019 we won the Institute of Outdoor Learning's 'Community Development Award'.

Our clients include Reading Borough Council, The National Trust, BBC Learning, The Woodland Trust, The Canal and River Trust, The Royal College of Psychiatrists, The Land Trust and numerous schools and nurseries in Reading and West Berkshire.

We aim to have a positive impact on communities locally and nationally and as well as delivering workshops in the Thames Valley, we provide consultancy, training and learning resources across the UK.

In 2011 Nature Nurture was granted ‘Community Interest Company’ (CIC) status by the CIC Regulator. We set up the organisation specifically to benefit the community, rather than operating for the benefit of shareholders. As a CIC any ‘profits’ we make are put back into the organisation to further our work. As a social enterprise, Nature Nurture is part of what’s known as the third sector, along with charities, community group and voluntary organisations.
